El Salvador Buys 100 More Bitcoins After Crypto Market Falls

FallsThe  El Salvador government bought an additional 100 bitcoins in a tweet on Friday as the price of the largest cryptocurrency by market cap fell by around $54,000. 

 “El Salvador just bought this dish. I bought an additional 100  coins at a discounted price,” said Bukele. Bitcoin price fell about 8% on Friday to around $54,237 as the broader market plunged on fears of a new COVID19 strain. Bitcoin officially became a legal tender in El Salvador in September, three months after the El Salvador Parliament passed the Bitcoin Act. On November 20th, Bukele announced during his Bitcoin Week presentation in El Salvador that the country would build an entire city based on Bitcoin.
